The result came thanks to Justus Lovelady's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gibson Booker, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Chaffee hit New Madrid County Central with a nine-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Red Devils, falling 13-1. The Eagles have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Dexter came out on top in a nail-biter against New Madrid County Central in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
