Basketball Recap: Great Bridge Takes a Loss

Great Bridge lost against First Colonial back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Great Bridge Wildcats lost 84-59 to the First Colonial Patriots. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Great Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for First Colonial, they moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Great Bridge will venture away from home to face off against Granby at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Granby's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for First Colonial, they will head out to square off against Bayside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. First Colonial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
