Kennedy came tearing into Saturday's matchup with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Highland Bulldogs.

Kennedy can attribute much of their success to Ariana Lopez, who had seven kills and two aces. That's the most kills Lopez has posted over her last six matches.

Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 27-7. As for Highland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at ten matches and leaves them with a 26-7 record.

Kennedy has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Oak Park on the 11th. As for Highland, they are taking a road trip to square off against Quartz Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
