Basketball Game Preview: Center Moriches Red Devils vs. Southampton Mariners

Center Moriches is hoping to do what Mattituck couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Southampton's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Southampton took their contest with ease, bagging a 104-44 win over Mattituck. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-28.

Southampton pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

As for Center Moriches, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished 2-8.

Center Moriches was dealt a bruising 106-41 defeat at the hands of Southampton in their previous meeting back in January. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Center Moriches was down 61-23.
