Soccer Game Preview: Western Harnett vs. Lee County + How To Watch

Western Harnett is 0-10 against Lee County since October of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will square off against the Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. Western Harnett has given up an average of 6.2 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Western Harnett's offense. They came up short against Harnett Central on Wednesday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Western Harnett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 568th, while Harnett Central are ranked 206th).

Meanwhile, Lee County waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wildcats. That's two games straight that Lee County have won by just one goal.

Lee County's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Western Harnett, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1.

Western Harnett suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Lee County when the teams last played back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
