Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Kelly vs. Boise

The Bishop Kelly Knights will head out to challenge the Boise Brave at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bishop Kelly is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Mountain View, who was ranked first at the time (Bishop Kelly was ranked 21st). The Knights lost 3-0 to the Mavericks on Friday. Bishop Kelly's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Boise fell victim to Borah and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 1-0. One reason for the loss might be Boise's aggressive play style: three Boise players were handed yellow cards.

Boise's loss dropped their record down to 10-6-1. As for Bishop Kelly, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1.

Bishop Kelly couldn't quite get it done against Boise when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
