Basketball Recap: First Baptist Comes Up Short

First Baptist lost against Liberty Christian back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The First Baptist Crusaders took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Christian Eagles. The match marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, First Baptist saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caleb Lindsay posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Brody Jaeger, who scored three points and three steals.

First Baptist now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Liberty Christian, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

First Baptist will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Prior Lake Christian at 7:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Liberty Christian also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against First Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on January 21, 2025.
