Flag Football Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Foothill's offense. They lost 20-0 to the Johnson Warriors on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-0 back in September.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nala Wysinger, who threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Wysinger also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending one pass. Johnson also got help from Aliyah Vang, who showed off her sure hands for 100 receiving yards.

With the loss, Foothill broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-9. As for Johnson, their record is now 13-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Foothill will challenge rival Florin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Mustangs 14.1, the Panthers 14.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Johnson is set to square off against their familiar foe Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are on a six-game streak of home wins, the Falcons a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
