Basketball Game Preview: Sumner Stingrays vs. Southeast Seminoles

Having just played yesterday, the Sumner Stingrays will jump right back in to play the Southeast Seminoles at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Sumner had to suffer through a 86-47 loss at the hands of Blake. While losing is never fun, the Stingrays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 27th).

Meanwhile, Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-57 heartbreaker at the hands of Palmetto.

Southeast's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Sumner, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.
