Volleyball Recap: Belleville Comes Up Short

Belleville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Churchill Chargers. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Belleville's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Churchill, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 2-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Belleville is set to take on their familiar foe Wayne Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Churchill will face off against rival Fordson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
