Volleyball Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Northwest Cabarrus lost against Concord back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans fell just short of the Spiders by a score of 3-2. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northwest Cabarrus wouldn't go down easily and took Concord into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-13, 18-25, 15-8.

Riley Porter was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 19 digs and four assists.

Northwest Cabarrus' loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Concord, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Northwest Cabarrus and Concord could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Trojans will challenge East Rowan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (403 vs. 145). Meanwhile, Concord (ranked 294th) will meet South Rowan (ranked 82nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
