Football Recap: Savannah Skates Past Cameron with Ease

Savannah strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 47-6 victory over the Cameron Dragons. Given the Savages' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Dragons are ranked 164th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Savannah to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiden Knechtenhofer, who rushed for 26 yards and two scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Makhi King, who rushed for 84 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Savannah was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 322 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 226 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Savannah's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Cameron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
