Softball Recap: San Gabriel Takes a Loss

San Gabriel fell victim to Schurr and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 14-0. That's two games in a row now that the Matadors have lost by exactly 14 runs.

San Gabriel has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Schurr, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Gabriel will square off against Bell Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Matadors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Schurr, they will take on California in a tournament on Saturday.
