Hickman County took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Houston County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs skirted past the Fighting Irish 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Hickman County wouldn't go down easily and took Houston County into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 15-13.

Audrey Davidson paced Hickman County's offense, picking up 20 kills. Davidson got some help from Bentlee Worley and her 43 assists. Aubrey Kistler controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Houston County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Peyton Brooks, who had 14 digs, and Calie Hearndon, who had ten digs and two aces.

Hickman County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Houston County, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Hickman County and Harpeth will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Houston County, they will take on Merrol Hyde Magnet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
