Football Recap: Pine Eagle Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pine Eagle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Union Bobcats 55-14. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Bobcats are ranked seventh).

Pine Eagle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Union, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Pine Eagle will face off against Prairie City/Burnt River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Eagle will be up against Prairie City/Burnt River's rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.13 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Union, they will host Adrian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Antelopes have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
