Softball Recap: Lee County Comes Up Short

Lee County scored first but ultimately less than Richmond in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 6-4. The Yellow Jackets have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Lee County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Hughes, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Lee County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Richmond, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-12 record.

Looking ahead, Lee County will be playing in front of their home fans against Scotland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Fighting Scots will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Yellow Jackets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Richmond, they will host Anson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
