Volleyball Recap: Akron-Westfield Comes Up Short

Akron-Westfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Mary's Hawks. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 28, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Akron-Westfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for St. Mary's, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Akron-Westfield has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Northwest Webster on the 27th. As for St. Mary's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Alta-Aurelia on the 27th.
