Volleyball Recap: Conway's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Conway was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mansfield on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Conway fell 2-0 to Galena on Saturday.

While Conway ultimately came up short, they really made Galena work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 28-26.

Madison Thompson paced Conway's offense, picking up seven kills. Thompson got some help from Adalee Letterman and her ten assists. Allie Anderson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Conway's defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-5. As for Galena, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7-2.

Coincidentally, Conway and Galena will both be playing Billings the next time they take the court. Conway will head out to face Billings at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday, while Galena will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
