Baseball Recap: Prosser Beats Foreman for Their Third Straight Victory

Prosser waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Foreman Hornets as they made off with a 15-1 victory. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Jeremy Del Rio was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Prosser is 3-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 1-2 otherwise. Del Rio was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

In other batting news, Prosser got a massive performance out of Jayden Perez, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. Perez has become a key player for the Falcons: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Julius Rivera, who scored three runs and stole seven bases while going 2-for-3.

Prosser was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .381 or higher in four consecutive games.

Prosser now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Foreman, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Prosser will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
