Softball Recap: Bountiful RedHawks vs. Roy Royals

Bountiful put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Roy Royals a 15-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Bountiful sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ella Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Miller has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 17 consecutive pitching appearances. Miller was also big at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Jaci Alvey was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Athena Tongaonevai, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
