Football Recap: Tom Bean Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Tom Bean had won three straight home games dating back to last season and Donnie Hooten did his part to make it four on Friday. The Tomcats walked away with a 47-38 win over the Tioga Bulldogs for which the team can thank Hooten, who threw for 316 yards and three TDs while completing 78.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards and a pair of scores. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 316 passing yards.

Tom Bean's leading receiver Brayden Bomar was Hooten's top target yet again, picking up 144 receiving yards and one touchdown. With that strong performance, Bomar is now averaging an impressive 100.2 receiving yards per game.

Tom Bean didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tatum Hanson and Dyson Farris.

When it comes to explaining why Tioga lost, don't look at Greeley McAden. Despite the final result, he rushed for 292 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 245 yards and one touchdown. McAden showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards. Jonathan Hernandez helped out on the ground, rushing for 98 yards.

Tom Bean's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Tioga, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Tom Bean wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-42 defeat against Alvord on the 10th. As for Tioga, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-6 win against Whitewright on the 10th.
