Softball Game Preview: West Ridge Wolves vs. Tennessee Vikings

The West Ridge Wolves will square off against the Tennessee Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. West Ridge is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games.

West Ridge barely beat Gate City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Blue Devils on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tennessee fell victim to Richlands and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Tornado.

West Ridge pushed their record up to 20-10 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Tennessee, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

West Ridge skirted past Tennessee 6-4 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
