Baseball Recap: Muhlenberg Comes Up Short

Muhlenberg was the 11-3 winner over Exeter Township when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Muhls came up short against the Eagles on Tuesday, falling 10-2. The Muhls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Muhlenberg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaden Lopez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Lopez also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Muhlenberg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Exeter Township, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Muhlenberg is taking a road trip to face off against Fleetwood at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Muhls' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Exeter Township, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Twin Valley at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.2, the Raiders 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
