Soccer Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Academy of Richmond County

Academy of Richmond County won the last time they faced West Laurens and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Musketeers' defense stepped up to hand the Raiders a 4-0 shutout. Academy of Richmond County's winning goal came courtesy of Mary Dempsey Ward.

The win made it two in a row for Academy of Richmond County and bumps their season record up to 12-2. As for West Laurens, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of Richmond County will welcome Hephzibah at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Academy of Richmond County are facing Hephzibah at the right time seeing as Hephzibah are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for West Laurens, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cross Creek at 5:30 p.m. on the 14th.
