Preview: Richland Bears vs. Iberia Rangers
Richland is 8-2 against Iberia since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Richland Bears will be playing at home against the Iberia Rangers at 6:00 p.m. Iberia took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Richland, who comes in off a win.
Last Monday, Richland didn't have too much trouble with Stover on the road as they won 54-38. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for Richland this season.
Meanwhile, Iberia lost to St. Elizabeth on the road by a decisive 59-45 margin on Monday.
Despite their defeat, Iberia saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alexa Rowden, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Paige Russell was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Richland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Iberia, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
Things could have been worse for Richland, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-43 loss to Iberia in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Richland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
