Softball Recap: Waldport Irish vs. Lowell Devils

Waldport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 10-6 to the Lowell Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Irish have lost by exactly four runs.

Azura Prince made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, Waldport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lowell only posted a batting average of .261.

Waldport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waldport will host Powers at 4:30 p.m. on April 1. As for Lowell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Myrtle Point at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
