Softball Recap: Willowbrook Gets the Win

Willowbrook's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Leyden Eagles by a score of 6-1. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Isabel Bates spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits.

At the plate, Marli Smrz was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
