Basketball Recap: Lloyd Memorial Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Scott, Lloyd Memorial was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They escaped with a win against the Gallatin County Wildcats by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Juggernauts as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lloyd Memorial's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Gallatin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Lloyd Memorial and Holy Cross will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Cross knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lloyd Memorial likes a good challenge. Gallatin County will take on Owen County in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
