Softball Recap: Onsted Takes a Loss

Onsted dropped down to 6-9 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Grass Lake Warriors, falling 11-0. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in May of 2019.

As for Grass Lake, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.9 runs.

For Grass Lake's part, they got a massive performance out of Lily McVicker (2029), who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Hilberer (2027), who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Onsted does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grass Lake, they will face off against Lumen Christi Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
