Gaffney has gone 8-2 against Spartanburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians will square off against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Gaffney's defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so Spartanburg's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Gaffney was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Boiling Springs on Friday. The Indians breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 34-7. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Banks Bouton went supernova, throwing for 273 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground. Josiah Hill was in the mix as well, providing Gaffney with two TDs.

Gaffney didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Boiling Springs to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Indians weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 58.1%.

Gaffney didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Zyon Ratchford, Adreyan Monroe, Ty McGill, and Zion Dawkins picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Spartanburg was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They strolled past Eastside with points to spare, taking the game 48-34. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Eagles are ranked 85th).

The victory got Spartanburg back to even at 2-2. As for Gaffney, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Gaffney came out on top in a nail-biter against Spartanburg in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, sneaking past 27-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
