Soccer Game Preview: Pana vs. Mt. Zion

The Pana Panthers will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Mt. Zion Braves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Pana's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Taylorville 3-0. Pana haven't had any issues with Taylorville recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Pana hit Taylorville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bianca Rochkes, Jaclyn Swenny, and Kadence Rochkes.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mt. Zion, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Monticello on Monday as Mt. Zion made off with a 3-0 victory. Mt. Zion might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

The win got Mt. Zion back to even at 3-3. As for Pana, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Pana suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Mt. Zion in their previous meeting two weeks ago. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pana was down 5-0.
