Fremont faced Davis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Silverwolves blew past the Darts 12-6. Considering the Silverwolves have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Owen Simkins, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Kasen Pearson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Fremont pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Davis, they moved to 10-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Fremont will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Darts: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
