Softball Recap: Pinon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valley on Tuesday, Pinon came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 18-17 on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 24-7.

Pinon has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Pinon will take on St. Michael at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Valley, they will square off against Many Farms at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
