Softball Recap: Fairview Comes Up Short

Fairview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elliott County Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 back in April.

Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Elliott County, they moved to 10-19 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Fairview by a score of 9-4 later that day.
