Recap: Port Charlotte Pirates vs. Sebring Blue Streaks

The Port Charlotte Pirates scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 71-59 win over Sebring. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

When it comes to explaining why Sebring lost, one person who can't be blamed is KJ Turner. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Turner is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of David Allen, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Port Charlotte's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Sebring, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Charlotte will take on Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sebring, they will be playing at home against McKeel Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
