Softball Recap: Pine View Comes Up Short

Pine View and Hurricane squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Pine View had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 16-6. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured ten losses in a row.

Brenika Frandsen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Sarah Seegmiller was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Pine View's defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Hurricane, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-15.

While Pine View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
