Warhill is 8-2 against New Kent since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Warhill Lions will face off against the New Kent Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Warhill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.

Warhill is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Denbigh: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Warhill blew Denbigh out of the water with a 52-21 final score. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Patriots are ranked 367th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

D'Shela Walker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 32 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Warhill's points. Bria McAdoo was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten steals.

Meanwhile, New Kent lost to Mechanicsville at home by a 53-35 margin on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Warhill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points over those games. As for New Kent, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Warhill beat New Kent 63-56 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Warhill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
