Basketball Recap: Pahokee Skates Past Glades Day with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pahokee walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 48-7 victory over the Glades Day Gators. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Sa?Nya Flowers was her usual excellent self, putting up 26 points. Her morning made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Karlissa Young was another key player, scoring six points.

Pahokee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.8 points per game. As for Glades Day, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Pahokee will square off against Moore Haven on Thursday. Moore Haven will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Pahokee surely won't give up without a fight. Glades Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
