Baseball Recap: Clinton-Massie Comes Up Short

The Clinton-Massie Falcons didn't have quite enough to beat the McClain Tigers on Friday and fell 3-2.

Clinton-Massie got a good showing from Noah Gorman, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Clinton-Massie saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Clinton-Massie's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for McClain, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton-Massie will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on New Richmond at 5:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for McClain, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Fairfield at 11:00 a.m.
