Softball Recap: Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals vs. Oak Lawn Spartans
Blue Island Eisenhower extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping their season record down to 7-13 in the process. They came up short against the Oak Lawn Spartans, falling 17-2. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 17-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Blue Island Eisenhower saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayllin McHenry, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

On Oak Lawn's side, Kamya Feigl was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Feigl has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Clark Zylius, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Blue Island Eisenhower and Oak Lawn could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Cardinals (ranked 446th) will meet Shepard (ranked 42nd) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oak Lawn will take on Argo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (284 vs. 111).
