Basketball Game Preview: Peach County Trojans vs. Houston County Bears + Official Tickets

The Peach County Trojans will take on the Houston County Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Peach County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.4 points per game this season.

Houston County will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Peach County extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Trojans enjoyed a cozy 54-40 win over Northside. The 54-point effort marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Peach County found their leader in sophomore Christian Askew, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Askew has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowan Woodrich, who posted six points along with 20 rebounds and four blocks.

Peach County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Houston County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 52-36 to Warner Robins.

Houston County's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Peach County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Peach County couldn't quite finish off Houston County when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 52-50. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
