Crosspoint Christian will head out to face off against the Plaza Heights Christian Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Crosspoint Christian barely beat Aurora Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Crosspoint Christian was the clear victor by a 13-4 margin over Aurora Christian Academy on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but Crosspoint Christian sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Cody Sanders, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carl Lewis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Crosspoint Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aurora Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Plaza Heights Christian Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Maranatha Baptist Academy a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.
Hayden Patterson was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Remi Schieber, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Crosspoint Christian's record is now 8-4. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, their record now sits at 10-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Crosspoint Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Plaza Heights Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Crosspoint Christian suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Plaza Heights Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can Crosspoint Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
