Baseball Recap: Onaga Buffaloes vs. Wabaunsee Chargers        
        
		
            
 Onaga scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Wabaunsee Chargers as the Onaga Buffaloes made off with  a  17-2 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Onaga.
  Jackson Kolterman was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (and only one walk). Kolterman has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Kolterman was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Hunter Lamond, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  stolen bases,  and four  runs. He is trending in the right direction, as he's  improved his point production for three straight games.  Rayce Fisher was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 On Wabaunsee's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Isaac Meyer, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 The  victory  got Onaga back to even at 2-2. As for Wabaunsee, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with that  loss, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Onaga has the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome Jackson Heights at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Onaga is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 11.5  runs per game this season. As for Wabaunsee, they will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Osage City at 4:00  p.m. Wabaunsee has given up an average of 15 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
