Basketball Recap: Stonewall Beats Stringtown for Their Eighth Straight Win

Stonewall had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 75-38 victory over the Stringtown Tigers. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Tigers are ranked 377th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stonewall has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Stringtown, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Stonewall has already played their next game, a 62-56 win against Stratford on the 24th. As for Stringtown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-43 victory against Maud on the 24th.
