It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cardinal O'Hara ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls 4-3. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 5-0 victory the Raiders and Ragdolls walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Adam Schreiber tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jason Campuzano and Thomas Flynn did most of the damage at the plate: Campuzano went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs, while Flynn got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Flynn hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jack Coleman, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Cardinal O'Hara kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.

Cardinal O'Hara now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Archbishop Ryan, their record now sits at 7-4.

Looking ahead, Cardinal O'Hara will welcome Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Archbishop Ryan, they will head out on the road to face off against Archbishop Wood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders and Ragdolls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
