Football Recap: Laguna Beach Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Laguna Beach can now relate to. They took a hard 44-28 fall against the Notre Dame (SO) Knights on Friday. The Breakers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Laguna Beach lost, don't look at Jack Hurst. Despite the final result, he threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (87 yards to be exact) went to Brady Stringham.

Notre Dame (SO)'s win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noel Washington, who rushed for 84 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Washington a new career-high. Wyatt Brown was another key player, throwing for 229 yards and one touchdown while completing 77.3% of his passes.

Laguna Beach's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Notre Dame (SO), their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

Laguna Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Notre Dame (SO), they will face off against Chino Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
