Football Recap: Spanish River Falls Short Against Ranked Seminole Ridge

Spanish River faced Seminole Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Sharks took a 25-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Sharks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Fogel, who threw for 229 yards and three TDs while completing 77.5% of her passes.

Spanish River's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Seminole Ridge, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

As of now, neither Spanish River nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
