The Apex Friendship Patriots are taking a road trip to face off against the Green Hope Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Apex Friendship will be strutting in after a win while Green Hope will be coming in after a loss.
Apex Friendship's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Wednesday, when they got past Cardinal Gibbons' usually-dominant pitching crew. Apex Friendship came out on top in a nail-biter against Cardinal Gibbons, sneaking past 10-8. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly two runs.

Drew Ciaccio was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Hayden Fones also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Apex Friendship kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Green Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Riverside-Durham. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Dylan Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Davis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
The victory made it two in a row for Apex Friendship and bumps their season record up to 4-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Green Hope, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Apex Friendship hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Green Hope struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Apex Friendship came out on top in a nail-biter against Green Hope in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Apex Friendship since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
