Kiowa lost to Deer Trail back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Indians put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Kiowa took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-6.

Kiowa found their leader in freshman Emery Kelly, who had seven digs and three aces.

Kiowa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deer Trail only served one.

Kiowa's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Deer Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Coming up, Kiowa will host Prairie at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deer Trail, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Cotopaxi on the 25th.
