Rocky Mountain proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Douglas County Huskies 5-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Rocky Mountain's record is now 6-3. As for Douglas County, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Rocky Mountain will be playing at home against Broomfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Douglas County, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chaparral at 4:15 p.m. on the 13th.
